The terminal can allow merchants to provide an enhanced level of service to customers and is specifically targeted at the hospitality sector (bars, restaurants, hotels and clubs) but can also be used for specific retail environments where the merchant may want to take the card payment terminal to the customer, for example in high cost outlets such as electrical retailers and jewellery stores or for deposits for vehicles in Car Dealerships, when the customer can remain seated and the terminal brought to them. The Xplorer has been ergonomically designed to fit and be well balanced in the hand and is attractive in appearance. It has been specified as best in class for portable devices currently on the market. The terminal has wireless range of up to 100 metres between itself and its Base Station (all though internal building structures may limit this) and can process approximately 120 transactions per battery charge. The terminal does not need to be returned to the charging cradle to process the transaction the terminal uses its wireless Bluetooth link to connect to the modem Base Station, this will be done whilst the terminal is in hand and the payment can be completed whilst in view of the customer. To achieve best performance it s recommended
that each Xplorer terminal has it s own dedicated Base Station and each Base Station has
access to it s own direct external phone line. This will achieve the best performance
and fastest transaction times.
Standard - ICE 5500
SureLoad ensures jam-free operation, providing merchants with 100% reliability and eliminating the need for costly, time-consuming reprints of receipts. The semitransparent paper holder alerts cashiers to low paper conditions prior to running out of paper in the middle of transactions. And with the ease of loading, they are more likely not to wait until the last minute to replace paper. The ICE 5500 Plus supports
smart cards, signature and receipt capture, customized logos and promotional messages
printed on receipts, graphical advertising on the screen, secure connection to web and
server-based applications and to customer loyalty programs. This new terminal is
compatible with software applications developed for previous ICE models. And the
9600bps, Hypercom FastPOS® modem delivers exceptional dial-up capabilities.
Mobile – ICE 4000
Customers simply swipe their card and
select whether to sign or enter their PIN. On approval, the ICE 4000 prints the receipt,
complete with the restaurants logo and promotional message.

The Dione Xplorer is a portable payment
